Welcome to our Messy Masterpieces mixed media class, designed for young artists in grades K-2! In this class, we’ll be exploring a variety of artistic techniques and materials, with a focus on messy, sensory play.

Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to experiment with different materials such as paint, glue, glitter, and clay, among others. They’ll learn about color mixing, texture, and how to use various tools and techniques to create their artworks.

Each session will begin with a brief introduction to a new material or technique, followed by hands-on experimentation and creative exploration. Our instructor will provide guidance and support as students work on their own pieces, encouraging them to explore and play with the materials in their own unique ways.

This class is designed to foster a love for art-making and exploration in young children, emphasizing the process of creation rather than the end result. Students will be encouraged to let their imaginations run wild, and to have fun making a mess and creating their own masterpieces!

By the end of the course, students will have developed their artistic skills and creativity, and will have a collection of unique and colorful artworks to take home and share with family and friends.

This class will be messy! Consider sending a paint shirt with your students, aprons will be provided. This class takes place at our Studio 17 location near the Tic Toc.

A membership is required for each child, the cost is $160 per year for unlimited art classes and more! We have a robust financial aid program, and it is our mission to eliminate financial barriers to arts education. You may apply for financial aid here.
