On January 23, 2023, the Cedar Rapids Community School District Board of Education passed a Resolution that states and believes public schools provide a strong educational environment for Iowa’s children and vouchers would put this environment at risk directing resources away from public schools to private schools who are not subject to the same rigorous scrutiny for their use of taxpayer resources.
