Kennedy Junior Reid Hall made headlines with his win at the Iowa State Golf Tournament last weekend at Elmcrest Country Club. He became Kennedy’s first state golf champion with a final score of 141. This was Reid’s third time attending the State Golf Tournament, as he qualified in both his freshman and sophomore years as well, however, it was his first time taking home a win. His favorite part of the meet was having all of his friends come out to support and cheer him on.
Reid has been golfing since he was a child, starting out in summer associations, and spending the off season practicing at simulators to keep his skills up. He loves the amount of skill required to be successful, and plans to play golf his senior year at Kennedy as well.
Reid’s advice for others who would like to become a successful golfer, “Practice, practice and trust the process.”
