A group of Hoover students celebrated Arbor Day with the city of Cedar Rapids. Members of the city council were on hand to read the yearly proclamation to honor the day.

Students learned a quick lesson about the various characteristics of trees, explored equipment the forestry division uses and assisted in planting three new trees on the Hoover school property.
