The Jefferson Academic Decathlon Team is the 2022 Division II National Champion. This occurred after winning the state competition for the 22nd consecutive year. Oh, and they were first in the nation for the “Super Quiz” component of the competition!

The decathlon team is tested and judged in ten different categories including speeches, essays, interviews, science, literature and math. Kevin Darrow, a language arts teacher at Jefferson, is the team’s coach.

All this accomplishment deserved a celebration – and Jefferson showed the love with a parade. Take a look at the video . . . we think it will make you smile.
